THE MYSTERY OF THE SECRET PLACE

THE MYSTERY OF THE SECRET PLACE 1

Psalms 91:1
“Happy is he whose resting-place is in the secret of the Lord, and under the shade of the wings of the Most High;”
The Easy to Read Bible

Before we can begin to dive into the consistency of the secret place there is a need to know what the secret place is about.

A few years ago, I have just listened to a powerful message about the power of intimacy and the graces it gives to faithful men.

As I walk the path leading to my dwelling place I began to reflect on those words, line by line and it kept coming on and on.

Subconsciously I began to ask rhetorically what is this secret place?

Could it be a sacred room like the holy of holies?

Then I replied myself
The veil had been tore
What would be a practical demonstration of the secret place in this dispensation?

My heart?
My place of prayer?

It was a night of rumbling on my mind.

When I got to my residence I sat in the corridor and was imagining how sweet it will be to dwell in such confinement, just me and Jesus.

Then like a transition a light came.
It was mighty and more than what my pen could capture it was an illumination that exceed the progression I have seen in all time.

And this my friend is the secret place.
The secret place is not about a location but a posture of illumination, understanding and light.

If any man says to you, do you have a secret place, it does not mean do you have a place where you pray, it does not mean do you have a time when you pray.

I am not against having a place of prayer. I have my altar. I am not against having a time of prayer. When grace has not found your weakness, it is of great importance to keep subjecting your weaknesses.

However, you can be praying at a particular place, at a particular time and still not find nor have experience of the secret place.

A secret place is a place where God and man meets. It is a place of transition, a place where man becomes God and God becomes man, it is a place of illumination, where limitations are exposed and exchanged for strength.

When a man continually runs into an error, it shows he is far from the secret place. Yet he may be praying for six hours daily.

Men like Adeboye calls the secret place a place of fellowship, where we relate with God as a father to the child.
A place where God drinks tea with a man!
Ayaaaaaaaaaah!

Men like Oyedepo calls the secret place a place of revelation, where we have access to the secret of God!
A place where God exposes deep things to men.

Men like Katherine Kuhlman calls the secret place a place of intimacy, a place where God gives burden to man. A place where we become God’s burden bearers!
Ayayayaya!

Men like Joshua Selma calls the secret place a place of koinonia. A place where men partner with God. A place where man is married to God. A place of intercourse, a place where we are impregnated by God.

I call the secret place a place of light, where every unknown is known. A place where God infused himself into a man. A place where man is permitted to host God.

The secret place is beyond prayer but if you enter, you will carry prayer power.

A secret place is a place of brokenness.
If you enter pride will give way!
If you are still proud, it is proof you are far from the secret place.

A secret place is a place of empowerment.
If you enter, power, wisdom, wealth will follow you.

How do men enter into the secret place?
Through Baptism

Baptism is from the Greek word “baptizo”
It connotes immerse
Dipped in

The Bible spoke about four types of baptism
The baptism of water
The baptism of the Holy Spirit
The baptism of fire
The baptism into the suffering of Christ (Roman 6:3).

The baptism of water which had now been down talked by the grace minister has a role to play in our immersion journey into the secret place.
A secret place is a place where man sees God.
The meeting point of immortality with mortals.

When Jesus said except a man be born again, born of water and the spirit he shall not see God, many thought it is all about heaven but it speaks a lot about the Eden experience between God and man.

It speaks of the secret place.

The role of water baptism is that it testifies to your willingness to see God before man.
The role of the baptism of the Holy Spirit is that it testifies to your willingness to see God before the heavenly bodies.
The role of the baptism of fire is that it testifies to your willingness to see God before the Trinity (Godhead).
The role of baptism in the suffering of Jesus Christ is that it testifies to your willingness to see God before the kingdom of darkness.
Water baptism helps you to be accountable to man.
It produces outward fruits
The baptism of the spirit makes you accountable to heavenly bodies.
It produces the fruit of the spirit
The baptism of fire makes you accountable to the Godhead
It produces the fruit of services
If I die I die
I will not deny Jesus!
The baptism into the suffering of Christ makes you accountable to the kingdom of darkness.
It produces the fruit of ranking
Where like Jesus, the devil will come and find nothing in you because you are dead!

The only way to be consistent in all of these is to always pray these three prayers as often as you can.

Lord have mercy
Lord use me
Thank you, father.

It speaks of:
Humility
Willingness
Trust

Those three prayers are powerful!

I have gone far already
But I should not go farther than these
May the spirit breathe on it in your heart.
