[Article] The Truth Part 4 ( The Light; Bible Or Qur’an )

Another confusion is as to which book is right( light). The Muslims believe that the Bible is diluted and not correct. They have this notion that the new testament is the diluted form of the old testament.

They say things like, “ you don’t use the old testament anymore “, “ you have change it to the new testament “.
I see those who say this as ignorant. Because, whiles the old testament is talking about creation and other prophets and their prophecies, the new testament talks about Jesus Christ’s birth, death, resurrection and what will happen at his second coming.

The Bible ( Word ) is referred to as a lamp that provides light unto our path
Psalms 119:105 Thy word is a LAMP unto my feet, and a LIGHT unto my path.

This means the Bible is a manual to serving God rightly. A manual guiding our the feet of our lives on the right way.

The Qur’an also describes the Bible as a light;
Qur’an 5:46
5:46. And We sent Jesus, son of Mary, in the footsteps of these (Prophets), fulfilling that which was (revealed) before him, of the Torah, and We gave him the EVANGEL(BIBLE) which contained GUIDANCE and LIGHT, fulfilling that which was (revealed) before it, of the Torah, and was a (means of) GUIDANCE and an EXHORTATION for those who guard against evil(Believers).

The Bible is a light for every creature not for only Christians. The Qur’an admonishes Muslims to ask the Christians for better understanding of the scriptures anytime they are confused.
Quran 10:94. And if you (O reader!) are in DOUBT regarding that which We have revealed to you, ASK THOSE WHO HAVE READ THIS BOOK (- the Bible ) before you. (They will tell you that) there has, in fact, come to you the perfect truth from your Lord, so be not of the contenders at all.

So the Qur’an redirects its believers to consult the Bible believers. Ask yourself why the Qur’an is directing them to the Bible?
The answer is simple, the Bible ( Word ) is the light and the ultimate guidance for every creature.
