Apostle King Smith, the founder and General Overseer of the Amazing Grace Commision seems not to be happy about Dr. Sonnie Badu’s assertion that eating pork attract demonic attacks.

In a social media post on 11th February, 2023, King Smith stated that, the claim by Dr. Sonnie Badu that eating pork attracks demonic attacks is false and is not rooted in scripture.
He wrote this,
The claims made by Sonnie Badu that eating pork exposes a person to demons are not rooted in a proper understanding of the biblical teachings on this topic. It is important to understand the cultural and historical context of the restrictions on eating pork in the Old Testament and how these laws were fulfilled and done away with in Christ.
In the Old Testament, the Israelites were given dietary laws as a form of separation from their surrounding pagan cultures. These laws included restrictions on eating certain animals, including pigs (Leviticus 11:7-8). The purpose of these restrictions was to set the Israelites apart as a holy people and to prevent them from participating in the idolatrous practices of their neighbors. However, these restrictions were fulfilled and done away with in Christ. The New Testament book of Colossians 2:14-17 states, “Having canceled the charge of our legal indebtedness, which stood against us and condemned us; he has taken it away, nailing it to the cross. And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross… Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day.”In other words, the restrictions on dietary laws were part of the old covenant and were fulfilled in Christ, who redeemed us from the law and the curse of sin. As Christians, we are no longer bound by these restrictions, and what we eat does not open us up to demons or affect our spiritual state (see Mark 7:15).Additionally, the Bible teaches that demons and evil spirits can influence people regardless of what they eat. The Bible says that Satan can influence people through their thoughts and desires (Ephesians 2:2), and that demonic possession can happen to anyone, regardless of their dietary choices (Matthew 17:14-18).
In conclusion, the claims made by Sonnie Badu regarding the consumption of pork and demonic possession are not supported by the teachings of the Bible. Our spiritual state is determined by our relationship with God and our obedience to His will, not by what we eat. The Bible teaches us to have a pure heart and a right relationship with God, and to resist the influence of evil (James 4:7).
